Over here, you'll learn how to start and know your iMac.
To start, turn on your iMac using the power button. On the screen, you should see some options, its called "Setup Assist". It basically asks you questions on connecting your computer to Wi-Fi and to log you in. You can also transfer data from one Apple device to another. Once you have finished that, on should appear your home screen.

I know you can use the keyboard fine, but what about the Magic Mouse? To turn it on, there should be a switch on the back to turn it on. Try clicking and double clicking on the mouse to see if it works. If it doesn't, look inside and see if there are any batteries. You can also do 2-button-clicks, just change it in the system settings. There is also a 360o scroll, just scroll it with your finger. To zoom in on a page, just swipe upwards with one finger. To zoom out, do the opposite. For example, if you want to scroll to photos, just swipe left or right with 2 fingers. Now, you are ready to customize your iMac in any way you want. Just go to the system preferences, or also called settings, and you'll see settings to connect your Wi-Fi, change the clock settings, and change your wallpaper background, almost anything. To check through your files, go to this app called the "Finder". Click on it, and you'll see all your files that are stored in your iMac, like your documents or downloads.
Here is an example of the Finder app.
Now you know how to customize and to set up and also know your iMac. Enjoy the awesome technology of Apple!
Some of these steps can also be used for the MacBook.
